In nature you will find hard edges only as a result of destruction, life is usually soft and round – in Seychelles even the rocks are rounded, polished and smooth.
When painting I intend to let go, to let the brush find its way, not to sooth nor grate but to receive, to reveal what is already there, to show the intention of life itself and to capture the feeling that one experiences deep inside after meditation and while meditating.I intend to ‚let‘ paint, whatever this means.
I prefer to paint without an intention in mind; the only intention being to reconnect with my inner self, to my inner shape and – while doing this, maybe getting tuned into the vibration outside myself.
making visible the shapes of the island, the sounds, the vibes. following the traces of life. like the besom is drawing the circles.
