joy comes back

Joy Comes Back was created during a time of uncertainty. The work began with a conscious decision to paint toward light.

Starting with black paint on a white ground, the painting grew in fine, deliberate layers over several months. Each week added either a darker or a lighter layer, following an inner rhythm shaped by fear, relief and quiet attention.

Through this process, a sense of steadiness emerged. What became visible was not a statement, but a movement: toward light, connection and what I understand as a subtle “net of life”. The painting holds this transition rather than explaining it.
