DO YOU KNOW HOW IT FEELS?
When you are in the wave just before it breaks? When a large piece of amber glows in the sand right in front of your feet? When the round, smooth pebble warms in your hand? When a gentle breeze from the sea caresses your skin, when mother-of-pearl shimmers underwater? When light becomes water and waves dance – when rays resonate, and the base of your spine vibrates?
Such moments are stored somewhere within me, and I relive them when I engage with colour on the canvas. My brush moves almost on its own, and I feel the ripples like waves moving through me.
Painting is an act of expansion, growth and continuation. When I am not painting, I become restless, feeling an inner urge – as if the lines and waves must continue and spread.
I have experienced that my art can evoke impulses in others, striking chords that have long been silent. Through my abstract, intuitively painted works, I aim to share these profound, fleeting moments of life and create a connection that goes beyond words.
